Champion cupboard crawler

Apparently Wyatt likes to crawl into cupboards now.

We love the Christmas season.

I know I'm a little late posting this, but Wyatt got a Fisher Price Nativity this year and he loves playing with it. He'll stand up for a good 15 minutes playing with it.

9 months

Wyatt is now 9 months old and is growing so fast. He crawls around like a mad man and can pull himself up on anything. He eats like its going out of style and is the happiest boy around. We love him.

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanks for the great Thanksgiving this year Bowen Family. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

A different approach.

My Aunt Ann is the best. I hope she doesn't mind, but I'm going to share bit of an e-mail she sent to me.

"I think instead of viewing the internet, especially social media as a negative that makes us covet and judgmental, we need to find a way to use it in a positive way. I truly believe that all the advances in technology are coming forth at this time to help speed the work of the Lord so it isn't all bad. But our use of it can be so we have to find the balance."

So, I'm taking a different approach. Wouldn't it be novel if when I start to feel judgmental or start coveting, I choose to view something else? Or I share my testimony more on my blog? So that's the new approach to the Great Experiment of 2011.

The great experiment of 2011.

Today it was decided that from now on until January 1st, I'm not going to look at any social media sites. This includes blogs, facebook, and anything else that resembles these things. I want to see if it makes a difference on my outlook on life. And helps to reduce my coveting and judgmental thoughts.

Halloween

Halloween was pretty uneventful this year. We didn't do any trick or treating, except to Grandma's house. But we did have the cutest tiger around.

Pumpkin Walk 2011

Can I just tell you that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pumpkin walk? I love the yearly tradition of the pumpkin walk. It makes me so happy. And don't you think Wyatt makes the cutest Yoda on the planet?

5 year meet-aversary

5 years ago today, I met Kaden Canfield. I can't believe he's stuck with me for 5 whole years. He's a trooper! Love you honey!

The nasty cold

The nasty cold has hit our house. Wyatt has had a hard time sleeping lately, but last night was the first night in a while that he has slept all the way through. This is how I found him when I went to get him up this morning.


We had his mattress propped up so he could breathe better and he had slipped down into a hole with his blanket over his head.

We're eating solids now...

...and Wyatt will eat anything that we put in front of him. He's getting to look like a butterball turkey. With rosy cheeks and a smile of course.
