We go to California

Kaden had to go to San Diego last week for a training, so Wyatt and I decided to tag along since the hotel was already paid for. We had a great vacation.

Our vacation didn't start out so well, however. To make a horrible and long story short, I only packed one bottle. In the check in bag. Yeah, I'm a great mom. So we were trying to feed Wyatt before we boarded so that he'd sleep through the flight. The only thing in the entire airport that resembled a bottle was a Hello Kitty squirt bottle. Wyatt was able to get enough to eat even though his gums were super sore in the end. Oh and p.s., the airport bathrooms don't have warm water, but the bar does. In fact most restaurant bathrooms don't have warm water, but their bars do.

Wyatt sleeps through vacation

Wyatt was a great traveler. He slept through the nights, took great naps, and even slept on the plane both ways. Woot woot Wyatt!

We go to the baseball diamond

Our hotel was a few blocks away from Petco Park where the Padres play. It was pretty cool to see a MLB stadium. They even played the Giants while we were there. Yeah, we didn't get tickets because we're lame. Plus we didn't know that they were playing until we walked by.

We go to the boardwalk

The boardwalk was way cool. There was a Dole ship that we watched for a while that had a huge crane that would take the trailers off of the semis and stack them up. We also rode a sweet elevator that went up sideways instead of up and down. We also saw a lot of navy ships. There was one ship there called the Star of India. It was built in 1863 and still operates today. Its the ship that has all the cool sails. Oh and Kaden found his throne to sit on at the Old Spaghetti Factory.

We go swimming

I'm not sure Wyatt loved swimming, but he seemed okay with it.

We go to the Mormon Battalion Center

The Mormon Battalion Center was way cool. I never knew how much the battalion had to go through. I have such a great respect for them as well as the other pioneers.

The Battalion Center was located in Old Towne San Diego. I don't have any pictures of Old Towne but if you go to San Diego, you should definitely check it out!

We go to the beach

The water was a bit cold but at least we can tell Wyatt that he's seen the ocean. There was a beautiful hotel on the beach called Hotel del Coronado. Maybe someday Kaden and I will be able to stay there.
