Last night Kaden had something to add to the Family Home Evening lesson. It went something like this. 

Mom: Hey kids, this guy's name is King Benjamin. He was a great prophet. He built this tower way up in the sky so people could hear him. He told the people that they should be nice to each other and that it would make them happy. 

Dad:  Yeah. And Wyatt, he also told the people that little boys shouldn't pee their pants. 

Wyatt: Ok. Hey guys, did you know that I built his tower? Yep, high high high in the sky. 

All in all, I'd say that it was a success. 

Preschooling at home

"Hey mom, this is how the letters go O,P,S,9,10,11,12."

He says this probably 3 times a day. Maybe he needs a better tutor. 

Crazy driver

This is the story Wyatt told Kaden last night at bedtime. 

"Hey Dad, Mom drives the lawn mower really crazy and fast. Then it breaks. Then I think, hmmm, hmmm (as he strokes his chin) Oh! It just needs oil. That will fix it. That a good idea!!"

For the record, I'm an excellent lawn mower. Now I know that Wyatt will just tattle to Kaden. I guess I better not try to keep secrets.

Love us the country life

We are lucky enough to have been adopted by a family in our ward. The other day, they invited us to help vaccinate and herd cows. Our kids had a blast and are learning that work can be fun. 

I also overcame my fear of horses and herded cattle 3 miles to thier summer pasture. Look at me go!

This is such an amazing place with amazing people. We sure will miss it!!

Easter and birthdays

I'm a tad behind but on March 25, Wyatt had his 3rd birthday. It was so fun watching him this year. He was so excited for everything. 

Then we had an amazing Easter. I love celebrating Easter in Paradise. Wyatt caught a bunny at the bunny and chicken chase and we got lots of candy. We had family over for lunch and an egg sling shot toss. 

Aunt Ann made the most AMAZING Easter clothes for the kids and they looked adorable. 

Wyatt also told me the story of the resurrection the other day so hopefully our teachings are sinking in.

Just this last week I was able to celebrate my birthday. I'm lucky enough to celebrate it with my nephew Jonah so we had a great party.
