First steps

Merry Christmas to us! Charlotte has taken her first real steps today. As in real measurable steps. She's getting pretty good. I can't believe that she had her first birthday four days ago. We had a blast celebrating with family. She received several dolls and she loves to give them kisses. She is such a sweetheart and we are so lucky to call her ours!

Thanks for chocolate milk

Thanks I not eat oranges. 

(For dinner we told him that if he ate ONE mandarin orange that we could have a treat and pick the movie we were going to watch. After an hour of hysterical sobbing, he chose not to eat the orange. I'm just greatful that at the end of the day he was still comfortable with that decision.)

Mom: Did you toot?

Wyatt: Yup!

(2 seconds later) 

Wyatt: Ewww! My stink!  Bleck!!

Wyatt: Ummm. Mom made me do it.

First tooth

It's taken awhile but Charly cut her first tooth today. I'm sure she's beyond excited to be able to chomp some fruit snacks. 

Wyatt is now potty trained. Once he decided that he wanted to do it, it was a piece of cake. He even stays dry most nights and naps. 

We have been enjoying the nice fall weather lately and are gearing up for Halloween. We also got to go to a BYU football game. We had lots of fun even though Wyatt was ready to go after 5 minutes. 

We are looking forward to the rest of fall!

Crawling

Ok so it's been way too long since I've updated. I really need to be better since this is my only form of journaling. 

Charlotte has been crawling for about and month and is constantly on the go. At her 9 month check up she measured in at 2nd percentile for height, 2nd percentile for weight, and 25th for head. She follows her brother everywhere and thinks he is the bee's knees. She has started crawling up stairs really well in the last two weeks and the baby gate is constantly up. She has no teeth to speak of but she loves to eat. She won't eat baby food but she eats anything else. Her most bizzare food adventures include manure (twice), a lawn mushroom, a green onion from the garden, dirt, and rocks. It's amazing how quick she is. Or how bad my parenting is. I mean, who lets thier kid eat manure. (I made her spit it out as soon as I found it so no worries). She would probably out eat Wyatt if we let her. 

Wyatt is growing and learning so much. He knows lots of colors and numbers 1-10. The only thing he's not catching onto is potty training but we will get there. He likes to help me cook and help dad with the horses. But he loves the farm. He asks to go there at least 4 times a week. He calls it 'his' farm. He's pretty good at letting Charlotte play with him and he's always concerned when she's sad.

I've been baking lots lately. My favorites have been chocolate sheet cake and apple pie. Wyatt likes to test my creations   In fact, he even sat in one of my cakes for good measure the other day. 

Kaden is busy with work and studying for the LSAT that he takes in December. He is such a good dad and the kids just squeal when he walks in the door.

Creative minds

It is so fun watching Wyatt use his imagination. Most foods at lunch and dinner can easily be seen as a car or boat by Wyatt. Just today he pulled out all the laundry baskets and made a train and then he asked if I would help him make a house. He is such a fun boy and I love watching him grow up.
